Off-site storage is the practice of transferring some or all of your biological materials to a trusted third party provider. The third party provider is responsible for ensuring your precious samples are stored in the correct conditions until you have need for them. Biodock offers a range of storage services including Clinical Sample storage, Archive Sample storage and Master Cell Line storage.

Biodock offers a range of storage services which are suitable for a wide variety of biological materials, whether a patient’s stem cells (Clinical Sample storage), reference samples produced during research (Archive Sample storage), or valuable cell lines in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries (Master Cell Line storage). Each service is bespoke and flexible around your needs. We can arrange all aspects of the service, from the collection from your facilities, through storage, and final distribution back to you or disposal.

With our state of the art facilities coupled with over 17 years of cryostorage experience, you can rest assured that your samples are secure and maintained at optimum conditions. With over 13 years of working within a regulatory environment, we are one of the most accredited private biobanks in Europe. Our continuous drive for the highest levels of quality enables us to be at the forefront of biobanking.

Upon request, we can deliver your materials to wherever they are required using our fleet of cryoshippers and our dedicated specialist courier service. For clinical samples, such as a patient’s stem cells, we can deliver to any UK clinic with 24 hours’ notice.

With a continuous expansion programme ongoing at our facilities, we are able to accommodate the largest scale of projects, such as relocating entire repositories, to small-scale projects, such as storing individual vials for a clinical trial. Whatever the scale of your operation, get in touch to find out how Biodock can help.

It’s true that transporting your materials is the most risky aspect of off-site storage – that’s why it’s of paramount importance that your provider is trusted and experienced.

With over 17 years of transporting clinical stem cell samples from over 75 countries, we are highly experienced and knowledgeable in managing the risks associated with transport. Whether it’s transporting individual materials or relocating entire repositories, we’ve done it. For any move – no matter the scale – we visit your facilities and design a bespoke ‘move plan’ which outlines what will happen on the big day and identifies any risks.

All materials are temperature-monitored throughout transport to ensure a continuous cold chain of data. Depending on the determined move plan, we either work with specialised courier services or use our own dedicated medical courier service to conduct the move.

Throughout the move, a dedicated cryostorage specialist will be available – this includes visiting your facilities on the day to offer any assistance necessary.

All of our facilities are fully accessed controlled, equipped with security alarms and have 24/7 on-site security. Entrances to the Science & Technology Park are covered by CCTV and all security alarms automatically dial out to the police. All of our storage vessels are kept locked at all times with designated key holders. To ensure storage continuity, all of our storage vessels are equipped with real-time temperature monitoring with scientific staff on-call 24/7 in the event of an emergency.

That’s entirely your decision. Whether it’s for a short period of time, for example during construction works at your facility, or for the foreseeable future, we will continue to store your materials until you require them or direct us to dispose of them.
